The proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act are unacceptable. In a time of dramatic biodiversity loss in Ontario, Canada and worldwide, changes to the act should do *more* to protect the plant and wildlife that are all, integral to healthy natural ecosystems.
To allow developers to “pay to kill” is a decision that will not benefit endangered species. Besides, if this decision was based in Real facts, you would not be letting developers continue with urban sprawl.
There is adequate housing slated for decades to come, yet there is no mandate or incentive for developers or builders to build Affor
dable housing. Reducing intensification targets, is a backward step. We need mid rise buildings and complete communities close to public transit. Build on Brownfields, not Greenfields.
