I applaud the Government on working to develop a comprehensive plan for our forests . One aspect of the stewardship of our forest which should not be overlooked is the role of private landowners who maintain extensive woodlots throughout the Province . These are an important part of the overall provincial forest fabric. As a relatively new woodlot owner I am enthusiastic to do my part by proprer husbandry of my lot . The Ontario Woodlot Assocation was a wonderful find for me as neophyte woodlot owner. They provide a valuable educational and support service to new and established woodlot owners . They have publications and advice on all the issues that I have had questions .
