Do not permanently reinstate the black bear spring hunt. The idea of hunting bears at the time when the females are raising cubs is unacceptable. While the hunt is to target only males, hunters are not able to distinguish between males and females until the animal is dead. The result is the lengthy starvation or predated deaths of the motherless cubs. For the province to support this is grossly disappointing and unethical. I have not seen any credible information regarding a real benefit to this hunt. Put an end to this.
