I read the draft Northern Ontario Transportation Plan paying particular attention to any mention of a passenger rail service from Toronto to North Bay (and further north). I was disappointed that instead of anything concrete, the Plan's only commitment to this service is a 'track audit' in the North Bay area that will examine safety and infrastructure needs for a potential future train service.

Residents along this corridor and the environment need a detailed plan for train service with specific timelines for actually providing the service.
