You would think that, after many misguided cuts from the Ford government (for example, cutting public health funding right before a pandemic hits), it would back away from this cut to conservation authorities.

The pandemic has taught us many things, including how important nature is to the physical and emotional well-being of people.

We should be increasing conservation funding, not decreasing it. Especially when cuts affect things like trails and washroom facilities that people need to enjoy conservation areas. “Core mandate” sounds reasonable until you drill down into the details. Please reconsider to ensure that the legacy of this government is a positive one.
