I urge you to clarify the regulations to ensure that Conservation Authorities cannot regulate private property without the consent of the landowner.
Conservation Authorities currently ride roughshod over land owner's property rights and restrict a landowner's rights without meaningful consultation or the landowner's consent.
The idea that government bureaucrats (who frequently apply their political ideology to their decisions) know better than the owner what is good for the land and can manage it better than the owner, is patently ridiculous and does not justify taking the owner's property rights.
Without property rights, we will become a nation of serfs, beholden to all-wise government officials for our welfare, and we all know how that ends.
Any regulation of private property must be done with the consent of the landowner through an agreement entered into freely by the landowner and with provision for the landowner to terminate the agreement if he/she wishes. The agreement must be terminated automatically if the Conservation Authority fails to uphold its obligations under the agreement.
