I am writing to oppose the cancellation of the Cap and Trade Program in Ontario and hence oppose the Bill 4, The Cap and Trade Cancellation Act.

Under Cap and Trade Ontario is well on its way to generating revenues to fight climate change with clean energy as well as revenues to improve public infrastructure such as schools in communities across the province.

Cancelling the program now will threaten hundreds of jobs and set back the clean energy sector growth in Ontario. We need clean energy and green jobs.

The anticipated law suits from the cancellation of the program is a waste of public money.

The new government has not proposed any alternative to address climate change.

Use this opportunity to listen to the people and withdraw the bill.
