I am very worried about…

I am very worried about flooding in the GTA and the situation appears to be getting worse and worse. The Greenbelt plays an important role in minimizing the impacts of floods on the surrounding communities, and in this day and age homeowners need as much protection from disasters as possible. I can’t imagine the devastation new homeowners would feel after taking the huge financial leap into buying a place, only to find it flooded multiple times over a decade and having to pay the costs associated with that. Please don’t build on the Greenbelt.

I know we need more residences, but please intensify existing built-up areas instead! Mixed-use buildings are liveable and are the way of the future, especially with our aging population. How lovely it would be for seniors to have a bank, drugstore, and grocery store, right at the bottom of their residence!
