Please do not do this, this will have a negative impact for years to come. There are so many cities that already have buildings that could be fixed up or some that could be bulldozed and build units for people to live in. There is other options. Why not fix the cities, that will bring in new people. You can see in small run down neighborhoods houses being flipped and this improves those places.
Please do not go through with this plan. You cannot pretend this is not a bad idea and to close your eyes to how this would impact wildlife is a gross decision. If you have to put in laws that anything can be done it is because you know there is multiple things that would have you stop. Once you build it, you cannot make new areas for wildlife to live in, it is not the same, you have already destroyed their homes.
