I do not feel satisfied with the level of environmental impact study that has been conducted or communicated regarding the plan to remove certain portions of the Greenbelt and add in others. The Greenbelt is a critical part of Ontario's ability to protect urban centres from flooding, and in general to protect Ontario waterways. Furthermore, there are other approaches that are more likely to actually solve Ontario's housing crisis, notably allowing four storeys and four units as-of-right. I request this Bill be rejected until further study on both environmental impact and alternative housing solutions are closely considered.
