The decision to remove protections for the Greenbelt is a reckless and dangerous one that does nothing to improve housing affordability within the province. It completely goes against what the people of Ontario want and creates a more unliveable environment. Greenbelt protection is a non-partisan issue. Each of us relies on the Greenbelt for food, drinking water, green space, and climate change resiliency, to name a few. This decision alienates and outrages us. Greenbelt protections need to remain in place. Full stop.
