I reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry's proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer for train and trial areas in Ontario.
These facilities are cruel to the wild animals captured and subjected to the various methods used to train dogs to hunt.
Wildlife should not ever be taken from their environments to be held captive by hunters.
Opening applications for train and trial spaces after 25 years is a major step backwards into the past. These facilities have no place in Ontario.
Instead of opening new applications, the 24 existing facilities should be closed immediately.
