Please REJECT this proposal.

I was one of the 1043 residents that participated in the Windsor CTV News Poll that asked
"Are you opposed to the Dresden landfill proposal?" with 80% opposing.

This site is 1 km from the Town of Dresden and 1.5 km from the high school and 2.5 km from
the elementary school. TOO CLOSE !

I live on the edge of town and will be personally subject to sight, air and noise pollution. The
value of my property will decrease significantly.

The town and surrounding area will be effected in many ways. The following are just a few
but there will be numerous others.

1. Environmental
Water Contamination & Habitat Destruction - This property is adjacent to Molly's Creek and
the Sydenham River. Leachate could result in detrimental effects on water
quality and disrupt the delicate balance of aquatic ecosystems. The Sydenham is home
to 80 species of fish and 34 species of freshwater mussels. Many of these are classified as
"Species at Risk".
Air Pollution and Air Quality - The town will be subject to both due to the close proximity of the
site and the resulting truck traffic.

2. Traffic & Road Conditions
There will be increased truck traffic (estimated 1 truck every 4 minutes arriving at site) driving
through our town, past two school zones and over our 90+ year old bridge. This will cause traffic
congestion, road and bridge wear & tear and noise & air pollution.

3. Local Economy
Agricultural land in the surrounding area may be effected by leachate.
Disruption to businesses due to truck noise and congestion.
Economic uncertainty among both business and residential properties. We may lose businesses
and not attract new ones. Price values of property will decrease.
