After scrutinizing the proposal, it's evident that the idea of establishing a contaminated soil treatment plant at 1490 Winhara Road is not just misguided, but downright dangerous. The cavalier attitude towards the safety of our community, including children and school buses, is appalling. The increased truck volume associated with the plant poses an imminent threat to the safety of our roads, making daily commutes for families and school buses a perilous endeavor. Additionally, the potential contamination of groundwater puts the health of those relying on well water at grave risk, including children who are particularly vulnerable to pollutants. This reckless proposal must be vehemently opposed, and decision-makers must prioritize the safety and well-being of our community by swiftly rejecting it.
