The Council of the Corporation of the Township of North Dumfries at their Meeting of March 11th, 2024 considered Staff Report PD-08/24. This Report addressed Bill 162 Get It Done Act, 2024 and specifically Schedule 3 and the proposed Amendments to the Official Plan Adjustments Act, 2023 as it relates to the Township of North Dumfries. Arising from the consideration of Staff Report PD-08/24 Council endorsed the Report by Resolution. The Resolution also requested that the Province consider an additional 13.1 ha parcel of land for employment related uses. This parcel of land forms part of a larger Provincial landholding adjacent the existing Highway 401 / Regional Road 97 Business Park and was previously identified by the Municipality for consideration of an urban area classification for employment related uses.
