YES !!! Finally someone is taking action. I have watched the damage these birds have done in Algonquin Park, Prince Edward County, the Ottawa River and elsewhere. Please make them disappear.

I live in Bradford Ontario and I very much enjoy the migratory bird hunting season. I hunt on the holland river most weekends. I can honestly say that this is a great idea as most of the time all I see is cormorants on the river. Lire davantage

I strongly support this proposal and other measures to control the population explosion of cormorants that has occurred on our lakes in recent years. I have been on Balsam Lake for 70 years and for over 50 years there was no noticeable population of cormorants. Lire davantage

I am absolutely against this. It does not demonstrate any scientific backing to this proposal or provide valid justification. Hunting to control populations like this is absolutely horrific and should not be allowed. It would be a huge step back.

I support the proposed double-crested cormorant hunting season. Like others, I have witnessed first hand the damage these birds and their overpopulation have caused. Creating a hunting season is a common sense approach to managing the issue.

It is hard to believe that in the 21st century, that Ontario wants to kill off all the cormorants to keep the fishing industry happy. I think establishing a hunting season is a good way to control cormorant overpopulation, but hunters shouldn't have to pay for waterfowl license to hunt them.
