Highways are not meant to be built quickly. Highways take up so much land that simply assessing the whole land takes a long time, and can't just be ignored. Lire davantage

The provincial government should leave matters such as bike lanes to the municipalities. This is a clear overreach of power and targets bikers disproportionately, starting by tearing out three bike lanes in critical downtown locations. Lire davantage

This is archaic, anti-evidence legislation that will solve nothing, and will make our roads more dangerous for everyone.

Roads are not for cars, they are for people. Some people drive cars. Some ride bikes. Bikes may inconvenience cars, but the evidence does not support that they do so significantly Lire davantage

This law will waste taxpayer money. Removing existing bike lanes costs more than installing new ones. Removing a lane requires traffic to be shut down for months, causing even more traffic delays. How many roads do you want to have one-way traffic? Lire davantage

Bike lanes are not causing congestion in the City of Toronto. The massive number of drivers in the city are creating the congestion. Larger roads with more lanes do not solve the problem as they will fill up with cars. Lire davantage

This is absurd, it is an absolutely shortsighted idea that is a waste of taxpayer money. Removal of bike lanes will not ease gridlock, only alternate methods of transportation will. Lire davantage

I disagree with the bill. Neither removal of bike lanes nor just road widening is the solution, now it in the future. Please build better public transport infrastructure instead, or make working from home a viable option

With the new bike lanes on Bloor and , I cycle to work every day. I feel much safer on roads with proper bike lanes. I’ve also noticed that University and Yonge street feel much safer with the new bike lanes. Lire davantage

How will clogging up the roads with more single occupant vehicles help businesses? So deliveries will be even more delayed. It will be even harder for them to find a spot to unload. Seriously, who thought this was a good bill.

I ask that Bill 212 be withdrawn due to its threat to farmland, forests and wetlands which will disappear if it is built. The public has made it very clear to this government that it opposes this expansion of highway infrastructure for many reasons. Lire davantage
