The removal of bike lanes will set Toronto back at least 2 decades. It won't fix the gridlock, it will make it worse. It will also endanger so many people. Easily the worst idea this government has ever had.

Love this new legislation. I live in the heart of downtown Toronto and fully support this.

I use bike lanes all the time it helps me get from one end of the city of Hamilton to the other if you take the bike lanes away I won’t feel safe walking around so please leave the bike lanes alone and go after the homeless issue not bike lanes

The solution to traffic congestion is not “add one more lane”. We’ve tried that. The only long term solution is to make it easier to travel without a car. Removing bike lanes is a step backwards. Lire davantage

Mayor Chow, tell the province to stay in their lane. Fight the removal of even 1 meter of bike lanes, or lose my vote.

Absolutely nuts. This city is in a gridlock with cars and you try to dismantle one thing that could resolve the problem? Cycles take up less space, churn out less greenhouse emission (none if a manual bike), and is faster than cars and transit in Toronto!!! Lire davantage

I disagree with the intention of this bill. Toronto as a municipality should be the only one that takes decisions on what bike lanes it needs without the intervention of the Province. Lire davantage

Very disappointed with the talk of the province removing bike lanes. As a driver bike lanes make my commute much safer as I'm not trying to navigate through a congested lane that has a cyclist on the side of it. As a cyclist I also feel safer with them.

We need more bike lanes, not less. There is an overwhelming consensus from studies around the world that more bike lanes reduces congestion, reduces costs and leads to cleaner air and happier people. Lire davantage

Every cyclist is another car off the road. Cyclists need the safety of bike lanes and it *reduces traffic*. This is a critical issue. Bikes don't run over and kill kids. We need bikes!

Why would we spend our tax dollars to remove recently installed bike lanes that keep our cyclists safe (including many children who use them to get to school). Lire davantage

I am against this bill because I believe cyclists deserve bike lanes for safety in the city. Bike lanes are good for the environment. We need to combat climate change as much as possible and bicycles are a critical form of alternate transportation.

Put this on the ballot next provincial election. Municipalities should decide what roads have bike lanes, not the Province. Stay in your lane Doug!

Bike lanes are a municipal issue and are proven time and time again to be safer for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. This is a major over reach by the ford government and isn’t supported by any data. Keep the bike lanes and keep the planning by the city and the experts that know better.

I am strongly against this proposal. The removal of bike lanes in key streets will only encourage more cars on the road, creating even more congestion throughout all hours of the day. Lire davantage

Removing bike lanes to speed up traffic is ridiculous. More space in the city should not be dedicated to cars. More people choosing to cycle takes cars off of the roads, improving traffic. Please keep the bike lanes, which are a net positive for city safety and greenhouse gas emissions. -Aidan

My boyfriend is going to the protest of this bill today, and on his way, he saw a biker get hit by a cement truck. This was on Shaw and Bloor street. The intersection did not have any bike lanes. Lire davantage

I own a car, I drive to places when I must, but I'd much prefer to take my bicycle when it's nearby or public transit if possible. We need more bike Lanes in our province, not fewer. This bill, as written, will only be used to remove bike Lanes from our province. Lire davantage
