Realistically we should already have an emergency plan in place. Secondly our plants should be slowly switched over and upgraded to become thorium reactors so that there will be no more sale or shipment of depleted uranium which can be used in dirty bombs. [Original Comment ID: 210504]

Given the occurrences of unlikely and unprecedented nuclear mishaps in recent years, a Fukushima level event should be prepared for in Ontario. It's expensive but protection of citizen's lives, infrastructure, air and water can only be done by government. It's the job of government to anticipate. Read more
