It is so important to keep moving forward with action that helps to reduce carbon
emissions and to slow down climate change
and its effects on all of us.
Please do not go ahead with the
cap and trade cancellation act.
We need legally binding climate change targets that cannot be deleted at the Whim of the Ford government without consulting the people of Ontario and hearing our concerns.

Climate change is Real and the time to act is Now! We need strong legally binding targets to reduce our emissions. Cap and Trade was already reducing our emissions and should not be cancelled .
The government needs to take their responsibility to consult with the public seriously!
I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.
I would like to see Ontario have a climate plan that would include a price on pollution and carbon, targets for reduced carbon emissions, a move towards clean energy for the province including suppprt for electric vehicles and public transportation and no subsidies for fossil fuel industries.

Climate change is a reality, whether it suits the fossil fuel industry, manufacturing polluters, etc. or not. As a country with such tremendous natural resources we are responsible for using them responsibly.

It only makes sense that people who create pollution also be responsible for cleaning it up. Cap and trade does this, making companies pay for their own emissions, and making it a key factor to try and limit harmful effects of their own processes.

I do not agree with "cap and trade" as it just fills in the dips and spreads pollutants around and does nothing to lower the total amount of carbon output; That is, Ontario's environmental policy was not strict enough!
