I am a mother with two young children. There is nothing more important right now then the fight against climate change. We need to be proactive rather than reactive. We need to put long term needs of everyone above the short term needs of a few. Here are the actions that I support: Read more

I implore my government to act urgently to reduce Ontario's carbon emissions. It is the moral duty of the current government to put in place legislation that will stop emission growth and further reduce it to zero, as other jurisdictions have done . Read more

I recognize that this government has promised to lesson the burden on those that have had marginal negative impacts to their bottom lines as a result of cap and trade, but I fear that canceling it will have far greater negative impacts, not only today, but for generations on Ontarians to come. Please let us make a positive change in the right direction. Our Earth is not being taken care of as a result of money and greed. We are connected to this sacred planet and must do out part to ensure that it is nurtured, not destroyed. This is what is important.

I am deeply disturbed at the push to cancel the Cap and Trade Act. It has been scientifically proven that this act benefits the environment and is economically sound. Please reconsider this at a time when the world is on a collision course for climate meltdown. Thank you.

This is a farce, there hasn't been sufficient public consultation time, nor has there been sufficient information provided to the public about how this policy will work. Public consultation for the already partially terminated program is meaningless. Read more

I would like the government of Ontario to rethink ending the Climate Change Mitigation Act. If you can, come up with something that's better for the environment, our economy and the people of Ontario. Then repeal the act and replace it with the better one. Read more

Climate change is real and is happening around us. It is imperative for our economy, health and well being that we take decisive, significant actions now. This is important for the people of today, but even more so for our children that are inheriting the consequences of our choices.

We are the generation of last resort. The United Nations' IPCC says we have 12 years left until catastrophic climate change is locked in for thousands of years. I and other Ontarians must explain this to our children and grandchildren with shame. Yes, we had a chance to do our part with pride. Read more

The U.N. just put out a climate report that says the world is warming up quickly and if governments don’t act immediately our future will be a disaster. Please read the U.N. document and use it as a guide line for Ontario government policy on climate change. Read more

Cancelling this act is a shortsighted, foolhardy move for Ontario. The environment is in a critical stage right now, and any bit of government legislation that encourages people to make less polluting choices is a positive step in my opinion. Read more

Ontario's government has a duty to help avoid the catastrophic environmental consequences of anthropogenic global warming. Cap & Trade systems have been shown to be the most economically effective incentive for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Read more

The cap and trade cancellation will be devastating for our children and their children’s generation. We must adopt a more indigenous approach where we look forward 7 generations and think how will this decision impact that generation? Is this the legacy that ford wants? Sad
