I do not support the Cap and Trade Cancellation Act. It is vital that action, funds, and resources are immediately directed towards efforts to address climate change. The cancellation of cap and trade puts a stop to such programs that were already underway or soon to be underway. Read more

Given the grave and well-documented dangers posed by climate change, I am dismayed that the Ontario Government is proposing to cut cap & trade, which is generally accepted (including by the recent winner of the Nobel Prize for economics) as one of the most effective tools to counter and mediate huma Read more

I respectfully disagree wholely and completely with Bill 4, the repeal of cap and trade. Clearly climate change is happening and clearly climate change needs to be mitigated. Clearly we need laws to work toward mitigating climate change. We need more laws to do this, not fewer.

It is up to us, and Ontarians, to do our part towards limiting carbon emissions and preserving carbon basins. Read more

The cancellation of cap and trade in Ontario is a big mistake. Making industries pay for their carbon footprint is the right thing to do for the environment. It is also a useful source of income to fund projects which will benefit all Ontarians. Show some leadership. Read more

Please do not repeal cap and trade. In order to address climate change there must be legislation that has statutory emission limits, legally binding multi-year carbon budgets set 12 years in advance, which apply to the entire term of a single government. Read more

I am submitting a comment on behalf of my 6 year old child. There needs to be a price on carbon. Everyone needs to be motivated to change how we use energy and how we produce energy. The course of my child's life will depend on what the world does about this crisis in the next 10 years. Read more
