To the one or two conservatives who haven't yet sold their souls to big Oil and big Coal: Please do not proceed with this repeal. Doug Ford likes to call this Cap and Trade program a Carbon Tax but it should be called a Pollution Tax and companies who pollute should pay. Read more

Because of the just released IPCC report that says we have untill 2030 (just 12 years!!) to avoid dire devastation, it is absolutely critical we have a carbon tax. There is no use in helping buisness save money if there won't be a world to spend it in. Read more

I read a couple dozen articles and reports, including the one by the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario trying to find a ligitimate explanation of WHY would anybody try to scrap a program that brings money into the budget AND preserves our environment. Read more

I do not object to changes that demonstrate improvement or a move in a better direction. Since Climate Change is at a critical juncture for our world, we have no business cancelling a program until there is another one ready to put in its place. Read more

Given the report released last weekend by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which described the urgent need to cut our fossil fuel usage in 12 short years to avoid catastrophic climate change, I am very opposed to Bill 4, the cancelling of the Cap and Trade Act. Read more
