The Cap and Trade system though not perfect was doing some good. So would a price on carbon. By all means, come up with other proposals as well. The issue is that we face an existential threat of climate change, and need to mobilize everyone to get on board. Read more

It is absolutely ridiculous that with all the legitimate and proven scientific data about carbon emissions and how they directly contribute to climate change this bill came into being. I wholeheartedly do NOT wish to see this bill pass. Read more

I am alarmed by the Premier’s decision to end Ontario’s participation in the Cap + Trade Program. Climate change is real and Ontario needs to take action now. Ford has taken us back to square one on this issue and offered no credible alternative plan.

Cap and Trade Cancellation Act - Even the name is suspect as in: Why are we cancelling anything to do with improving our environment? Industry has used our atmosphere and waterways as open sewers for decades, we need to fix that, not ignore it. Read more

I am upset at the dismemberment of this initiative -- the current administration doesn't seem to care about taking the time to learn about the facts and weight the options carefully. It seems to think pushing "promises" through blindly is appropriate. And it isn't. Read more
