This bill is an outrage. Why is this Govt intent on dragging us backwards, after so much progress has been made over the past few years, to ensure development projects in keeping with the character of the neighbourhoods involved? Read more

I would appreciate no decisions to be made without personally driving to the proposed area and seeing exactly the type of economic area and the traffic between 4 and 7 pm. This was not done on Bayview between Lawrence and 401. If the had they would not have allowed all the planned deveiopment. Read more

I am totally against this bill passing. I am very concerned about the changes that it will bring after years of fighting for a plan that will take the voices of the people living in these communities seriously, this bill will replace it with a builder friendly act. Read more

Please do not pass this legislation, it is a step back and will allow developers and appointed Tribunal members to overrule elected officials decisions made on the basis of consultations with constituents.

I am a member of the Municipal Heritage Advisory committee of the Rideau Lakes Township. I am familiar with the process to have a home or property 'designated'. For the township to designate a home or property we currently require the agreement of the owner. Read more

There are properties listed in heritage register which have no heritage significance. My property is an example of it. When I applied for a heritage grant on a number of elements of my property. They all got rejected because they weren't "heritage enough" elements. Read more

More of the same stupidity and nonsense of de-regulation and "open for business" ideology which means environmental destruction. You don't get it. The planet is heating up. Species are becoming extinct at an alarming rate. Storms and flood and drought are more frequent and intense. Read more

This bill is outrageous. After years of fighting the OMB and its power to overturn decisions made in my own area, you are bullying your way BACKWARDS. The developers are your masters and your government is NOT FOR THE PEOPLE. Read more

Recent decisions and recommendations made at the Toronto Preservation Board have called into question the integrity of the board, and have compromised its position as an independent body that assesses proposed heritage designations purely on the basis of the significance of the property. Read more

While I think there are some great changes included in this act, such as shortened timelines for appeals and requiring permission for two units in a single dwelling, I'm extremely concerned over the reinstitution of de novo hearings at the LPAT, which ignores any previous evidence collected and exam Read more

I am wholeheartedly, unutterably opposed to these horrible changes. Like the attacks on our natural environment this whole act is an attack on our built heritage, an important element of Canadian history and pride. The plan is exactly like the original plan to open the green belt to development. Read more
