What is the definition for "producer" when products are imported? Is the retailer, the wholesaler, or the manufacturer responsible for the costs involved?

If the producer is overseas, Ontario has not authority to hold them accountable. If the producer label owner is not in Ontario, Ontario has no authority to hold them accountable. Carriers or haulers can not be held accountable as they have no legal owner ship of the product. Read more

There are approximately 75 municipalities in Ontario that do not meet the requirement of 1000 people. There needs to be a system in place where the residents of these small municipalities can bring their batteries and/or EEE. Read more

Styrofoam Packaging must be considered as a problem material since electronics sales generate a large portion. Electronics industry must re-engineer packaging as not all municipalities can afford to recycle.
