Please do not make landowners use a guide service to hunt on their own land. This doesn't make any sense as the landowners already know the lay of their land and do not need a guide. I am very disappointed that this idea was ever proposed.
I feel there are more pressing and important issues facing our society than being concerned about a bear hunt . The significant majority of people do not believe in killing animals for "sport ". These animals should be allowed to live their lives in peace.

I am vehemently opposed to a spring bear hunt and urge you to reconsider your plans. Black bears are difficult to sex and many mothers will be killed leaving their young as orphans. This is not conservation, this is decimation of a species. Bears are an important part of our ecosystem.
There should be NO black bear hunt. There is no reason to reinstate this hunt and there is no reliable way to tell a nursing female bear from a male one. This is inhumane and cruel.
There is no need or logical reason to reinstate the Spring bear hunt. Clueless hunters will kill nursing mothers, resulting in orphan cubs dying of starvation or killed by predators. Do not reinstate the Spring bear hunt. This is something the Trump administration would do.
