Wildlife in Ontario shouldn't ever be taken from their natural environment by hunters. It’s unbelievably torturous to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as game for hunters in the training of dogs and participation in competitions.

Protect wildlife and leave them in the wild where they belong to live their lives free from abuse! There is no place for these dog train and trial areas. Shut them down, not expand them.
I am deeply opposed for this inhumane and cruel penned dog training to be opened up again.
It is against any ethics to capture wild life and have it than released to be used as bait for dogs to train them how to kill. How utterly terrible!

To capture and use wildlife for training hunting dogs is both archaic, inhumane and a step backwards on the evolutionary scale. Just because the Ministry is receiving requests does not mean it is acceptable!

Hunting pens are inhumane and unethical. Wild animals such as foxes, coyotes, and rabbits are captured and held in captivity only to be subjected to cruelty, abuse, and suffering through the training and trialing of hunting dogs. These archaic facilities have no place in today’s society.
