Most common reason I hear people not wanting to adopt EVs is cause they are expensive or cause they worry about the range. The Ford government already took away the incentives for people in Ontario, so dedicating money to EV chargers is a good move in the direction to address the former.

Probably your best bet is placing charging facilities where people travel between cities. Within the GTA there are plenty of options, but outside of the city, and on main highways, opportunities for charging EV’s for road trips are severely limited.

The County of Haliburton needs more level 2 charging stations in areas where people are parked for many hours or overnight (the County currently has 4 locations with level 2 stations) and level 3 stations for people passing through (to head up to Algonquin Park, for example).
