Bulletin summary

On September 23, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an amendment to the Zoning Order, O. Reg. 41/22, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as O. Reg. 489/22. The Township of Oro Medonte requested that the Minister consider amending the Zoning Order.

Why consultation isn't required

Part II of the Environmental Bill of Rights Act, 1993 does not apply to proposals to make a Minister's Zoning Order (MZO) under subsection 47(1) of the Planning Act, or to amend or revoke an MZO under subsection 47(8) of the Planning Act.

Bulletin details

O. Reg. 41/22, filed as O. Reg. 489/22 applies to approximately 25 hectares of land at 17 Guest Road in the Township of Oro Medonte (Subject Lands).

A Zoning Order regulates the use of land and the erection, location and use of any buildings or structures on the land. O. Reg. 489/22 permits the relocation of loading bays on the exterior side yard of the proposed industrial building abutting Line 6 South. O. Reg. 41/22, as amended, facilitates the development of an industrial manufacturing and warehousing building.”
