I am a citizen in London North Centre but previously lived in Aurora, ON, on the Oakridges Moraine. I DO NOT support taking lands away from the Greenbelt. It is more sustainable to build residences, apartments, etc. within the city core where public transit will be available. Read more

Government should be transparent. The fact that (rich) developers have been buying up Greenbelt lands BEFORE these announcements makes it apparent there have been backroom dealings. Sure makes people question how why the government is doing this. Party support by developers? Buy votes? Read more

Affordable housing doesn't have to start with destroying the existing greenbelt. It doesn't have to start with benefiting wealthy housing development companies. It doesn't have to start with the consequences of hurting average people with more tax burden in the near future. Read more
