This should not be happening. Why is it that governments continue to pick away at the good things that their predecessors have done. There are many other areas to build housing and under no circumstances should developers be allowed to build on the greenbelt. Read more

Hi, there are many reasons why developing on the greenbelt is a bad idea. 1. We have paved over some of the most fertile farm land in this province and country to never be returned to its original state. We should learn from this mistake, not continue to repeat it. Read more

Bill 23 must be rescinded in it's entirety. What we need instead of Ford's pet projects that only benefit his developer friends are true housing for the people. We need co op style apartments and homes, rent geared to income apartments and homes along with low income public housing. Read more

In the middle of a climate crisis, this government should not be moving forward with these amendments to remove land from the Greenbelt. Opening this land for low-density housing development on the fringes of the GTA will only encourage more sprawl, car dependency and pollution. Read more

I strongly believe that the Greenbelt, as it stands, should be preserved. The answer to the housing crisis is not more urban sprawl, but increased density where housing already exists. It's a known fact that urban sprawl is more expensive to service. Read more
