Bulletin summary

On Friday, May 17, 2024, the Minister of Infrastructure has filed an enhanced Minster’s Zoning Order (eMZO) pursuant of Section 6 Rebuilding Ontario Place Act and Section 47 of Planning Act. This enhanced Minister’s Zoning Order supports the government’s plan to rebuild Ontario Place.

Why consultation isn't required

Bulletin details

This eMZO is seeking to achieve four objectives:

  1.  Establish land use permissions for the entire site.
  2.  Establish detailed development permissions (i.e. height, Gross Floor Area, and setback requirements)
  3.  Exempt some parts of the site from municipal site plan control
  4. Direct that the City of Toronto’s Official Plan cannot prevent the issuance of any licence, permits, or approvals for Ontario Place
