I agree with this proposal. As a home owner with a viable lot to build an ARU, I would not at this point move forward with constructing one due to the extreme limitations that my municipality places on it via zoning. (City of Toronto) Read more

Please make it easier to build additional rental units. Remove the red tape. It costs so much money because of permits from parasitical city councils who try to squeeze as much money as possible from individuals trying to solve the housing crisis. Read more

We are concerned over proposed changes on existing municipal infrastructure. Our municipal wells, sanitary pump stations and stormwater infrastructure are not equipped to handle the additional flows from the many additional units being proposed in existing subdivisions. Read more

Very supportive of the amendments, I live on a 100' deep lot in Toronto and building a garden suite is almost impossible on such lots due to the current separation distance required, bringing that down will help get more garden suites built.
