Removing bike lanes in Toronto is a short-sighted and wasteful decision that jeopardizes cyclist safety, harms the environment, and wastes taxpayer money!!

I am against Bill 212.
The best way to reduce gridlock is to reduce the number of cars on the road. Preserving bike lanes and adding new ones does exactly this.

Bike lanes are necessary to protect more vulnerable road users including children while moving more people in less space than cars or trucks. The province is looking backwards to the hey-day of the 50's rather than forward to a future of safer and more effective transit.

Hello, please don’t remove existing bike lanes because:
1 - the removal and remodel of the roads cause a lot of tax payers’ money and create more traffic jams

One more lane. That will solve traffic. I mean we have hundreds of thousands of kilometres of road and still have traffic congestion. But adding a few hundred will somehow solve it. I don't support this legislation.
I’m so disappointed with the tabling of this bill. The only way to reduce congestion is to reduce the number of cars on the road. The only way to reduce cars is to provide people with alternatives to driving, like transit and cycling.

I'm beyond disappointed in this provincial government's decision to meddle in municipal politics about something that has no connection to their jurisdiction. This bill would needlessly add red tape to something intended to improve the lives, the health and safety of citizens.

This proposed legislature specifically targets the City of Toronto and discriminate cyclists in favour of single occupancy vehicles which are the actual cause of congestion. The legislature unlawfully circumvents and underminds the City of Toronto Act, 2006.

Hello to everyone. I live in the city of Toronto as an owner of a property and agree with the government to remove all the bike lanes as posted.
I was never in agreement for the bike lanes when it was introduced and further recommend that they all be removed.
Thank you.

I drive more often than bike in this city and even I know that this is a horrible idea. We need to protect the bike lane infrastructure that we've invested in that make the road safer for literally everybody.

The shared goal of both the government of Ontario and citizens is to reduce traffic. The only way to reduce traffic in cities with finite public space is to allow viable alternatives to driving.

As a Toronto resident I view this act as harmful, wasteful, and an overreach by the provincial government. I do not cycle, my wife and I own a car, and I see no benefit to this act whatsoever.
Voters in areas outside of Toronto should not be influencing urban planning within Toronto. Let Torontoians decide how we want our city to run.
You want less congestion in Toronto for non-Torontonians? Build better commuter infrastructure across the province.
Clear distraction from bypassing 413 environmental assessment and classic conservative government overreach into the lives of Canadians. Stay in your lane Dougie, your the worst wannabe mayor Toronto has ever had
Evidence shows that ADDING bike lanes reduces gridlock and makes streets safer for everyone. Bill 212 will spend tax dollars doing the opposite of what it intends to do while increasing the province's environmental impact.
