I am writing to express my opposition to Bill 212 and my disappointment in our provincial government. The items in this bill do not move Ontario forward to build a safe, sustainable and accessible transportation system for all of us. Read more

Bike lanes encourage commuters to leave their motor vehicles at home. Currently 75% of the population commute in private vehicles. The city of Toronto is not adding any new roads so space is fixed. Fewer bike lanes will force more people to commute by private vehicle. Read more

Why is the premier of the province messing about with municipal streets? Aren't city streets municipal and not provincial territory. Also, if you remove bike lanes, two things will happen. Read more

This is not the right kind of legislation that we need. Environmental assessments should be part of planning the new highways, because flooding has been getting worse with the changes in weather. More highways is also contrary to our goal of reducing emissions.

This is a ridiculous piece of legislation. If you want to reduce grid lock build more bike lanes, don't remove them. This should be a municipal decision anyway, not a provincial one.

There is no need to add in potential harmful and sweeping power to the provincial government in this bill which would remove Canadians ability to fight to keep their land and their property safe under the current Expropriation Act. Read more

Please do not go forward with this Bill. It is ill thought out as a dedicated separate lane of slow moving vehicles would allow cars to move faster than having those slow moving vehicles on the same lane as fast moving vehicles. Read more

This act proposes to make all land in the province for sale to greedy road construction companies, so Dog Ford can sell our province piece by piece for his retirement money. I say no. This act can go to one of our many wastewater treatment plants, because it belongs in a sewer. Read more
