Our environment and wildlife (endangered or not) should be protected at all costs. As a born and raised Ontarian, I oppose anything that infringes on wildlife conservation. Read more

I'm frankly horrified that we appear to be following the lead of the Americans in giving up on our environment and endangered species. The beauty of our province is partially from its nature, and we cannot allow it to be bulldozed and sold. Read more

The proposed changes are an affront to our way of life. I vehemently oppose this suggested change as they erode our culture and beliefs. I stand in protest - Do not let these go into effect.

I'm not for this. We need to pride ourselves for the amount of species of endangered animals in ontario and their continued protection. This will not be beneficial to species at risk and the already endangered. The passing of this will be detrimental to ontarios ecosystem. Read more

This is a proposal to kill. There are living beings who will no longer have a home and will not be able to survive because of this, and you have a choice. In fact, as the standing Act 2007 protects, this new Act is literally looking for permission to destroy. Read more

Terrible idea! So we would trust anyone that registers to just follow the rules outright? When so many companies don’t care at all about the environment or species at risk to begin with? Read more

A dollar is not worth this damage. The majority of our population is now fully cognizant of the unfortunate fact that we have one earth, and one chance at keeping it in maintainable equilibrium. Read more

The risk posed to breeding through the removal of harassment is asking to move at risk to endangered or extinction. Humans will continue to have housing problems so long as the costs of all these new homes remains unaffordable. Let’s not have even more empty homes at the cost of wildlife. Read more

I voted for Graydon Smith but I did not vote for this. The Muskoka region relies on visitors for a lot of its economy and that relies on its natural beauty and wildlife we have. Watering down environmental protections will harm this area in the long run.

I strongly oppose this proposal, which would significantly weaken Ontario’s environmental protections under the guise of streamlining infrastructure development. Our natural ecosystems are not obstacles to development — they are the very foundation of our health, economy, and quality of life. Read more

As an Ontarian, I am highly against removing any and all species and environmental protections. When Ford said he'd "protect Ontario", doesn't that include all the animals and endangered species that live within it as well? Read more

It would be a grave mistake to follow through with these changes to the endangered species act. I am especially worried about the provincial governments ability to intervene, and remove species at risk. Read more

Natural diversity and ecology of a place are critical to maintaining the health and well-being of that place. This is Gr. 4 level science on ecosystems. We need to conserve Ontario's natural biodiversity if we wish to continue living here. Don't kill the Endangered Species Act. Read more
