This proposed change is incredibly detrimental to vital habitat, and will cause immense harm to all flora and fauna affected. Mining without permits will pollute and kill the land, and I have immense concern over the use of Treaty Territory being infringed upon by corporations. Read more

Our biodiversity is our beauty and our strength. Ontario's current and future endangered species need and deserve our protection. This bill is an attack on the beauty and precious, priceless richness of our environment.

I don't agree with this bill. Throwing away protections of critically endangered creatures for buildings and transportation leaves vulnerable species at the hands of politicians, developers, and people with no interests in the scientific benefits, environmental value, or biodiversity of our planet. I am writing to strongly oppose the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007 and the creation of the Species Conservation Act, 2025 (ERO 025-0380). While streamlining approvals is important, this proposal will seriously weaken Ontario’s ability to protect species at risk. Read more

I worry about the long-term biodiversity impacts if our endangered species become regionally extinct. The potental impacts are too long to list here. Many of the requirements to allow more sustainable development are a "drop in the bucket" compared to overall construction costs (i.e. Read more

These protections are in place to keep our flora and fauna safe. The proposed changes may lead to easier development and less bureaucratic red tape, but at the risk of permanent damage. It is not something that should be done.

Our Economic Insurance Policy Imagine granting someone guardianship over your invaluable Legacy, who then hands it over to questionable speculators that use your Legacy to line their own pockets! It's future value is destroyed and all that's left are stranded assets and no accountability! Read more

In no uncertain terms should the ON government touch the endangered species act except to expand it. Limiting or revoking the act is the wrong move and was NOT part of the government's published plans for it's new mandate.

Please rethink your proposal; it is in place for a reason. Endangered species and the environment is much more important than fast-tracking unaffordable housing and more highways. We only have one planet, and we have a limited number of these endangered plants and animals. Read more

This proposal is damaging to the environment and the wild animal population in Ontario. We should not sacrifice our provinces wildlife and natural beauty merely to expedite development. Progress can be made without taking shortcuts. Read more
