This is a gross misuse of power to strip incredibly important conservation efforts. We are the world around us. If we continue to destroy habitats without regard, we suffer for that. The absolute lack of accountability to anything beyond making an extra dollar is disgusting. Do better. Read more

DO NOT GUT THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT. This proposal is basically telling developers that instead of asking for permission in advance, to just go ahead and destroy habitats of endangered species then ask for forgiveness afterwards. Read more

I am deeply opposed to the weakening of this Act. This reflects a continuing disregard for the environment that has been a cornerstone of the Ford government's policies. How a government can ignore the continuing (and accelerating) decline of all classes of species and refuse to take REAL action Read more

The proposed definition of “habitat” is an exercise in logical absurdity. For animals, the definition of habitat is basically a cage. The restriction of a plant’s habitat to the “critical root zone” is basically the definition of a plant pot. Read more

I object to the proposed amendments to the Endangered Species Act. The province has an obligation to protect habitat and species at risk, and there is no good economic argument to be made for developing crucial habitats. Read more

I strongly disagree with this proposal. We should be focusing our attention on preserving green spaces and protecting wildlife rather than driving it away. We already live in a concrete jungle world, we need more green spaces
