Please don’t remove the Environmental Assessment. I’ve lived here over 20 years. I raised four children, and now I have nine grandchildren who walk these streets and cross busy roads to get to school. The idea of 700 trucks driving through town is terrifying. Read more

It is incredibly disheartening to see the province trying to proceed with this project without proper environmental studies. It’s bad enough the location is located within a kilometer of the town that thrives on tourism, but to also cause environmental degradation adds insult to injury. Read more

I live in Dresden and I am a bee keeper. All pollinating insects will suffer from this. Anything in the air, like fertilizer, asbestos, dust from the concrete, affects the life of the bees. Any honey that would be produced in the area would be unsellable due to toxicity. Read more

I live a bit down stream from Dresden where York1 is proposing to reinstate a 50 year permit for fly ash into a mega dump. I cannot comprehend how the ministry of environment can possibly think that removing the required EA is remotely the right thing to do. Read more

The roads leading to this proposed dump were not build for the traffic of 400 passes of transport trucks a day. It is over 30 km to the nearest 4 lane highway with having to pass through a number of towns and villages. Read more
