This is a downright terrible idea. This landfill could 2/3 the size of Chatham. This alone is completely unacceptable in rural areas. The leaching pond of the landfill would be connected into Molly’s creek and Molly’s creek floods 4-5 times a year. Read more

We need an environmental assessment. The government are attempting to make this landfill through a loophole starting 40 years ago. Not to mention the smell, but the species at risk of extinction if this mega landfill is established include a great population of honey bees. Read more

As a citizen of Chatham-Kent, I am not happy to hear that this massive dump is going in our community. It will pollute Molly's Creek, which streams into Lake St. Clair. This dump will be 640 Olympic-sized swimming pools. It will put endangered species into the extinct in the wild category. Read more

Dresden, ON and the Sydenham River have a long history of flooding. Why would you want to put a landfill/recycling facility in a flood zone so close to a town? No to a dump in Dresden. The high school is very near the site. Between traffic, air pollution, and noise pollution the school and its students will suffer. Not to mention water pollution; when the town floods (which it likes to do quite regularly.) Read more

I don't understand how we fought last year to get an environmental assessment and won, now the government can go back on their promise and decide not to uphold their word. This is why people have such a distrust in our government! Read more

To whom it may concern regarding the waste disposal site in Dresden I oppose. I oppose because it is too close to the town! Most dumps are not located this close to a community. The truck traffic and noise will be a nuisance. And also it is too close to waterways. Read more

This is such a big mistake,not sure how you can even consider this. My kids played in Molly's creek all summer every summer growing up. I swam in the Sydenham in the summer skated in the winter. Read more

Please don’t allow their stress become Proposal for the Dump/landfill near Dresden Ontario. The edge of the additional property that has been purchased for this large project is literally a two way road width apart from our town line. Read more
