Please do not remove this assessment, it is vital to finding out the truth as to how dangerous this area is for a dump. The ground is not stable and the potential for a collapse due to the weight on the aquifer is very high.

Dresden, Ontario does not need a dump, recycling facility, whatever the title. Dresden is an agricultural community with insufficient roads to handle the traffic. No one wants trucks in that volume rolling past our schools, or through downtown. Read more

The people of Chatham-Kent do not want this landfill, yet the provincial government ignores what the people want. Removing Environmental Assessment Requirements simply ignores the adverse consequences of landfills, and removes protection for citizens. Read more

This landfill will severely impact our small town. The landfill is 1 km from town. There is one road to the landfill. A creek lies to the side of the landfill which flows to the Sydenham river and then on to the St Clair River. Read more

I strongly oppose the proposed Dresden landfill expansion and the Ford government’s attempt to bypass Ontario’s Environmental Assessment process. This project is a direct threat to the health, safety, and economic future of Dresden and all of Chatham-Kent. Read more

The dump will pose dangerous situations being so close to town , children’s safety being #1. Our elementary school is on the main road in town. The dump will extremely lower our property values, we have people whose lives will be drastically changed for the worse if that happens. Read more
