Stop pushing g garbage onto smaller communities. There are better ways to deal with this than to send thousands of trucks a year through small villages that already struggle with lack of policing. Read more

Completely disgusting putting this legislation forward. Let alone being right next to a school, this landfill won't be outside of the town, but literally at the entrance! And more importantly to me even, this landfill and leachate pond is hugging our vital waterways chaining down to the lake. Read more

We are all shocked actually. We had this beat and now it’s obvious that the Provincial government wants to allow Toronto’s (and perhaps elsewhere) construction waste to be dumped here.  Are we having to fight our own provincial government as well as York One? It appears so. Read more

This is outrageous that our provincial government is not doing this assessment, goes to show us that they care more about getting the waste and garbage out of their favoured city of Toronto and dump it on our cherished local community of Dresden. Read more

This is unacceptable! If this dump is meant to be then it would pass the environmental assessment! There is no way the roads can handle all the increase truck traffic the proposed dump is going to create. Read more

I am very concerned about the landfill proposal so close to the town of Dresden, and the effects it would have on the local area. The Provinces proposed legislation that would remove the voices of the people most impacted. The closeness of the landfill to then town itself. Read more

Dresden, Ontario is NOT an appropriate place for York1's proposed landfill. Why would waste be transported so far from where it was generated? We are told through various government taxes, mandates, etc. Read more
