This is a serious concern for me as a resident in Ontario. It's appalling that something like this could happen given the number of people in opposition. Please shut this down and save our province from damaging projects like this. PLEASE.

I am writing to object in the strongest possible way to the proposed exemptions from the Environmental Bill of Rights that will remove the right of Ontarians to be advised of, or to comment on, any required permits at Ontario Place, on or off site, to support the project. Read more

Ontario Bill 5 is dangerous and detrimental to our province, as well as the environment. Bill 5 will grant the government sweeping powers to override municipal bylaws & environmental protections. This is an anti-democratic POWER GRAB. I do not approve of Bill 5 or any related actions. Read more

Bill 5 is an unacceptable abuse of power. The government had no business passing the original Act in relation to Ontario Place. We are already seeing some the effects of the government being allowed to unilaterally make decisions. Read more

I am writing to express my deep outrage and profound disappointment regarding the so-called “Protecting Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act.” This legislation is a blatant assault on environmental protections, community voices, and the democratic values Ontarians hold dear. Read more

I object emphatically to the proposed exemptions from the Environmental Bill of Rights that will remove the right of Ontarians to be advised of, or to comment on, any required permits at Ontario Place, on or off site, to support the project. This is totally unacceptable. Read more

I am strongly opposed to this bill. The public must retain the right to learn, understand, provide input into and challenge development proposals. The environment must be protected. There are sensitive habitats being destroyed only to cater to the wealthy. This is not in the public’s interests. Read more

I’m writing to strongly oppose the plan to take away the public’s right to know about or give input on permits for the Ontario Place project, both on the site and nearby. This change would break the rules in Ontario’s Environmental Bill of Rights. Read more

I'm really worried about what the Ford government is doing with Ontario Place. They’re trying to push through redevelopment plans without following the Environmental Bill of Rights, which basically means they’re cutting the public out of the process. That’s not okay. Read more

I am opposed to Schedule 8 of the Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act 2025. This proposed amendment is to benefit the private sector and is not in the public interest or in the interest of the environment. Please remove Schedule 8.

As a long-time resident and someone who has spent decades watching this province evolve, I find the Ford government's attempt to exempt the Ontario Place redevelopment from the Environmental Bill of Rights deeply troubling, and frankly, disgraceful. Read more

I disapprove of Bill5. The existing safeguards and consultations should remain in place. Ontario is not for sale. Look at a picture of your children or grandchildren when you think of making such threats to remove protections of our environment.
