This proposal is for an amendment to the existing ECA No. 4117-8YAKGG issued to Miller Waste Systems Inc. for the use and operation of a 2.1 hectare waste disposal site to be used for transfer and processing of industrial, commercial, and municipal, nonhazardous solid waste from residential sources, including grinding and shredding of wood, at 332 Clarence Street, Brampton, Ontario.

The proposal includes changes to allow municipal, non-hazardous solid waste from residential sources increase the acceptance rate of waste from 146,000 to 219,000 tonnes annually (or 400 to 600 tonnes daily) and increase the amount for waste destined for final disposal to 228,125 tonnes annually (averaging 625 tonnes daily, and accounting for water absorbed into wood chips). There is no change to the total amount of waste and processed materials stored at the site, being a maximum of 1,000 tonnes at anytime. The permitted hours of operation are proposed to change to 24-hours per day, including weekends and statutory holidays.
