This is the enabling legislative change that makes the policy in 025-0899 possible. Proposes amendments to OWRA so that multiple septic systems up to 50,000 L/day cumulative capacity per property can be regulated under the Building Code rather than OWRA.

- Clarification should be considered regarding the term ‘field tile inlet’. As field tiles are comprised of perforated pipes, the entire length of a field tile could be considered an inlet. Or is the intent referring to a ground surface level inlet (Catch Basin, Hickam Bottom, etc)? Read more

I support this proposed amendment. It has never made sense to me that 5 residential lots of 1 acre each can contain 5 septic systems, but my 50 acre lot can only contain one. Read more
