Proposal details
This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) for a waste transfer facility. The proposed transfer facility will receive solid non-hazardous wastes as well as subject waste materials. The transfer site is on a 9.4 hectare property located in the City of St. Catharines, Regional Municipality of Niagara.
The facility will use enclosed structures where subject wastes (primarily waste oil and various hazardous or special wastes) will be deposited and stored for transfer. Solid non-hazardous wastes and recycling materials will be stored in bins within the property.
The maximum quantity of waste delivered to the site on any given day is 120 tonnes, and 43,800 tonnes annually. The facility will be operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
