The Ministry of Energy has decided to move forward with the proposal. Lieutenant Governor in Council has approved the Orders in Council (OICs) and Minister’s Directive pursuant to the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998. The OICs and Directive will facilitate the timely development of three new transmission lines across northeast and eastern Ontario.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 5441-CVFQLM was issued to Honda Canada Inc. on October 27, 2023, to renew Permit No. 3054-AM8PV5 for nine years. Water will be taken from one well for water supply purposes, located in the City of Markham, Ontario.

The ministry has amended existing ECA# 7905-9XXNXX and transferred ownership to 1975482 Ontario Inc., for the site and works located at 2235 Scanlan Street in the City of London, Ontario.

The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) to Beedie ON Developments (GP) Ltd., as general partner for and on behalf of Beedie ON (Ambitious Court) Property Limited Partnership for stormwater management works to serve 14 Ambitious Court, Hamilton, ON.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-23-000259 to Mitchell Noyes 50%, Joann Gavin- 50% for early exploration activities.

The decision is to: issue the mineral exploration permit.

An individual landowner has withdrawn their application for the conversion of a managed wetland into agricultural land in Dover Centre, Chatham-Kent County, Ontario that would affect Eastern Foxsnake (Carolinian population) and Blanding’s Turtle. As a result, no decision was made and no permit was issued.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-23-000276 to Central Timmins Nickel Company Incorporated for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

We have issued an amendment to existing Environmental Compliance Approval No. 5856-763P2S of seasonal subsurface sewage disposal works, serving Sandaraska Trailer Park, located at 156 Sandaraska Road, in Bethany, Ontario. The park has a total of 219 existing trailer sites.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for a lot addition to correct an encroachment was granted on October 26, 2023, subject to conditions.

Lear Corporation Canada Ltd. has withdrawn its Environmental Compliance Approval application (air & noise) and hence, an Environmental Compliance Approval was not issued by the ministry.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was granted to Green View Acres Ltd. for stormwater management works, serving the Green View Acres greenhouse development site, located at 121 Essex Road 18 in the Municipality of Leamington, County of Essex, Ontario.

Approval is granted for the establishment of industrial stormwater management works to service a trailer storage facility in Township of Woolwich for collection, transmission, treatment and disposal stormwater run-off from a catchment area of 7.868 hectares to provide enhanced level water quality protection, flow control and erosion.

A Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1522578194 was issued on October 25, 2023 to amend Permit No. 7261-BTGNPQ for 1758691 ONTARIO INC. This permit reflects a "like for like" substitution of wells after the original wells were decommissioned. Water will be taken from two wells for vegetable washing purposes located in Holland Landing, Ontario.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (air and noise) has been granted to Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre Inc. for the operation of a cremation facility, located in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Certificate of Property Use (CPU) No. 1758-CQSLFB was issued to Skyline Real Estate Holdings Inc. on October 24, 2023.

We have finalized government response statements (GRS; species-specific policy) that outline the actions that we will lead and support to protect and recover six species at risk in Ontario: Fawnsfoot, Lilliput, Threehorn Wartyback, Shagreen, Toothed Globe and White-rimmed Shingle Lichen.

We issued an approval to GFL Environmental Inc. for the use and operation of a waste disposal site, located at 84 Smelter Road, to be used for the transfer and processing of solid non-hazardous waste including construction and demolition waste, mixed waste, and recyclables.

Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) No. 4224-CVDJZU was issued to 1000550049 Ontario Inc., on October 24, 2023 for mobile water treatment systems to serve various construction and brownfield sites across Ontario.
