The Proliferation of LED billboards is creating distracted drivers and unsafe driving conditions. As a new mother and occasional driver, I am concerned that this proposal will worsen our highway safety and contribute to increased risk when travelling Ontario roads.

I live in Haliburton County. The two provincial highways that cross the county pass through a lot of undeveloped land - trees, lakes, marshes, rocky outcrops. For much of the distance, there aren't even houses!

This is a ridiculously bad thing to do to Ontario's landscape and highways! i have seen the result of these type of billboards and advertising in the United States and it is gaudy and a blight on what would be a pleasant view from your vehicle window.

I'm fine with any advertising that does not switch between ads too quickly and is not digital. My previous residence of Halifax, NS has a MASSIVE digital billboard on the Bedford Highway (just a road that goes around the harbour). The main issue with this billboard is the brightness.

Billboards and excessive signage in rural areas destroy the natural landscape and are distracting to drivers. What is so wrong or difficult about keeping our roads in a state that fits with the environment? Why must everything be an opportunity for an ad?

The additional commercial billboard type signage along highways throughout Haliburton Highlands is terrible it certainly takes away from the natural beauty of our Highlands in addition it is distracting for drivers. What used to be a lovely drive is now annoying and could be dangerous.

The proliferation of these 3rd party sign have given a beautiful part of the province an ugly stain. I have spent time driving through the beautiful natural landscape of Vermont where these type of signs are not slowed and it makes it so much more enjoyable and picturesque.

We are a community that is heavily dependent upon tourism. Unregulated signage along highways detracts from the natural beauty that tourists come to observe and enjoy. Makes no sense to detract from that which we rely upon for tax revenue and upon which the local economy depends.

Keep our beautiful Ontario scenery uncluttered. We have enough opportunities for appeals to consumerism. Let's at least leave the highways free of billboard distractions and clutter. Let's leave our scenery so we can enjoy it.

I do not support Third Party Advertising along our provincial highways.
Because many of us live in busy cities overloaded with visual and noise pollution, we need to escape the cities and be as close to nature as possible.

Putting billboards - especially eletonic billboards - along the proposed highways would be distracting and dangerous. It would also be ugly in the same way that litter is ugly.
