As a resident of Northern in areas where Caribou exist, as such I am intimately aware of the challenges/complexities that exist when managing for conflicting objectives on a forested landscape. Due to those challenges and complexities a FMP takes three years to write and implement. Read more

The posting also proposes to form an expert panel which includes representatives from Northern Communities, First Nati Section 55 Regulation for Forestry. For the past decade, the implementation of the ESA for forestry has been a challenging issue for Ontario and forest management. Read more

The forest industry is extremely important to this region. The community in which I live has not been able to retain the younger people because of the uncertainties for economic development and the opportunities for employment that follow. Read more

Based on numerous reported sightings on properties along Trew avenue and at Bluewater Dunes, I believe that Bluewater Park in Tiny ON should be declared as specific habitat for the Lake Huron Grasshopper and protected as such. [Original Comment ID: 213237]
